This book focuses on the impacts of experiences on the works of notable authors in world literatüre. Within this scope, certain authors were chosen to explain how and why autobiographiespseudo-autobiographies were preferred as a narrative form. The book consists of ten chapters, in addition to preface, introduction and conclusion. Each chapter is based on the analysis of literary texts by a single author to examine the refiection of biographies on his/her literary career. Within this scope, for this book, Mehmet Rauf, David Herbert Lawrence, Hector Hugh Munro (Saki), Ömer Seyfettin, Charles Dickens, Halide Edip Adıvar, Peyami Safa, Sait Faik Abasıyanık, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar and Franz Kafka were studied. One of my goals in writing this book is to clarify the relation between biographies of authors and their literary pieces.
